Kids’ Backpacks Reviews by Kids and their Parents
By Michelle Kouzmine -About.com Guide
I have kids from preschoolers to tweens, girls and boys from all over the U.S. Test Driving some of the hottest kids’ fashions, clothes and accessories. They’ll wear and use the items and then I’ll interview the kids and their parents to see what’s cool for school in the eyes of kids and their parents.
Test Drive: Little Packrats Backpacks
Little Packrats kids’ backpacks and toddler backpacks can be seen on the backs of some of America’s coolest kids. They are oh-so-stylish and kids go crazy over their bold graphic designs. Many of their toddler backpacks and kids’ backpacks have fun features like 3D-design elements, big zipper pulls and cool styles.
Little Packrats’s Test Drivers were 3-year old Caden and 6-year old Reese.

The Backpack Specs
Both Caden’s and Reese’s backpacks are 9 × 9 × 3. The backpacks have fun 3D style features and a beaded zipper pull that makes opening and closing the backpacks easy for kids. The large hanging loop is convenient for hanging backpacks in cubbies and lockers. It’s the perfect size for small books, toys and other little-kid must-haves.
Style File
Caden and his mom are, as they say, dog people, so naturally Caden’s Little Packrats’s Jack Backpack was a big hit with them both. Caden’s mom says that Caden just loves it and she says it’s just “perfect.”
Reese and her mom thought the Little Packrats Chloe backpack was adorable. Reese’s mom said that the backpack is “absolutely” stylish.
The Haul
Caden’s mom said his toddler backpack is just the right size to haul all of Caden’s preschool gear to and from school. It’s just the right size for a 3-year old boy. It fits comfortably on his back and does not overwhelm his frame. It’s roomy inside so he can stuff it full of books and toys.
Reese’s mom said that her Little Packrat is “a great size for packing her toys and things to keep her occupied on a night out.” It is not intended as a school backpack for older kids who have to carry books and homework.
